Frequently Asked Questions.
Is there an initial consultation before our first therapy session?
Absolutely. I provide a complimentary 15-30 minute consultation to explore your therapeutic needs and discuss how my approach can offer support. This initial meet-and-greet serves to break down relational barriers, fostering a sense of vulnerability for our first session.
What is the “No Surprise Act”& Good Faith Estimate?
Under the law, No Surprises Act, health care providers may give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, upon request.
How do you offer therapy?
I offer both in-person and virtual. If situations arise, we can always discuss a hybrid model. I use a HIPPA complaint, Telehealth software called Simple Practice. For more details on my office, please visit the Gallery page.
What is your cancellation policy?
All cancelations must be made 24 hours in advance to your scheduled session. Failure to do so or no show will result in a full-fee charge of $150. Emergency circumstances are always considered.
How do you ensure confidentiality?
I prioritize client privacy through secure communication methods, professional ethics, and maintaining confidential records. While client information is typically kept confidential, legal and ethical considerations may require disclosure in cases of harm to self or others, child abuse, or court orders. We discuss these limits openly during our sessions.
How do you handle feedback?
I wholeheartedly welcome feedback, recognizing its significance in building a strong therapeutic alliance. Valuing our reciprocal relationship, we create a space for open exploration, resolution, if needed, and continue in a direction that aligns with both of us.
Do you work with specific age groups?
I work with individuals at the age of 13 and up.
Do you provide couples or family therapy?
I do not.
